Tarareando in Mallorca, Madrid and Berlin
Took a professional leap, built a solution to solve racism in german housing, and booked more plane tickets. Probably nothing.
šāāļø TL;DR
Gm lads, this month I walked Berlin from west to east, found a gallery in the process and got invited to do some naughty stuff. Ended up hacking to solve racism in housing. Naughty naughty. I fixed massive emotional issues, took a professional leap forward, and secured an amazing summer holiday. BUILD reached 35M TVL. Probably nothing.
š Thoughts
Underpromise and overdeliver.
Let your projects speak for yourself, and cut the noise. Balance your capabilities and do not overextend your possibilities. We are all heavily ambitious and conscious about the infinite opportunities there are in emerging industries, but we also need to know how many of these we can tackle.
I donāt know how to do it, sharing it cause it feels right. š«
Essence is unnegotiable.
We reevaluate ourselves everyday, and we are constantly growing and changing trying to evolve. We are greatly influenced by āshouldsā that come from the industry we work on, or the social group we belong to. Adapting is a smart game, but we need to determine limits on how flexible we can be towards changing who we are. Letting go your essense is the safer option, and I might be wrong, but probably the wrong option in the long term.
We donāt trust anything, anymore.
Clickthrough rates increase by 2.3% if the headline is negative. Social algorithms reward controversy, attracting both lovers and haters in droves. How are you going to believe anything you read online if it is designed to generate a reaction, rather than transmit a message. Not even facts are left unbothered nowadays. Trust layers are a thing, and are definitely dependent on social graphs. We trust our people, if any.
š³ļø Whatās going on now
Mate, things have changed massively. Took a massive leap forward into a yet to be determined future. I am leaving a place I can consider home for good, and it feels like the first big jump of my career. Willing to take on more risk, in exchange for the possibility to make greater decisions and learn from my mistakes.
Iāve filled my house with friends and nothing makes me happier. We are lucky to have what we have, but things are meaningless if not shared. Very happy about the connections that Iāve made in the last few months.
Big travels lay ahead. Leaving on June 28th to Thailand for a two week intense training program at Tiger Muay Thai. Been training heavily to arrive as fit as possible. Feeling healthier than ever.
May was emotionally challenging. Had to deal with problems that were much bigger than what Iām used to, and I am proud of the way these were managed. Heavily applied the consultant-like minded approach to solving the problem to leave emotions outside. Interesting, probably wrong, but definitely useful. Now, back to therapy. :)
š„· Questions in my head
Most decisions are already made when you bring up the question to yourself. The process of thinking through is just a step to convince yourself, not to make a decision.
Are there enough business class sits in planes traveling to Dubai?
Disappointment is the delta between expectations vs reality?
What has more barriers of entry: art or tech?
This month is left with less questions in my head because it required more decision making than ever and had less time to reflect, and more to execute. Both professionally, and emotionally.
